Outline of Rigid Steel Conduits

All our materials for producing steel tubes come from coils manufactured by Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation. By combining the most advanced steel materials with established technologies developed through our many years of experience in tube-making and hot-dip galvanizing manufacturing, we achieve the high level of quality that is sought in conduit tubes.

Features and Specifications of Rigid Steel Conduits

Note: The standard length is 3660 ± 5 mm.

Thick Steel Conduit Tubes
Both ends of thick steel conduit tubes are threaded to meet the standards required as rigid steel conduits (JIS C8305). The outer and inner surfaces of the tubes are hot-dip galvanized to make them corrosion-proof: over 300 g/㎡ of zinc is applied.

Thin Steel Conduit Tubes
Both ends of thin steel conduit tubes are threaded to meet the standards required as rigid steel conduits (JIS C8305). The outside is hot-dip galvanized, and the inside is coated with anti-corrosive paint. The outside is hot-dip galvanized over the entire tube’s circumference, including the electric welded parts, in the same way as for thick steel conduit tubes.

Threadless Steel Conduit Tubes
These are non-threaded steel conduit tubes that meet the standards required as rigid steel conduits (JIS C8305). As with our thin steel conduit tubes, these tubes are hot-dip galvanized on the outside and coated with anti-corrosive paint on the inside. This thin, lightweight pipe has outstanding processability.

Polyethylene-Lined Steel Tubes
The inside and outside of the steel pipes that meet the criteria as steel conduit tubes (JIS C8305) are coated with polyethylene lining, which has outstanding anticorrosive properties, to comply with the stipulations for Plastic coated steel pipes for cable-ways (JIS C8380). These tubes are suited for use in corrosive environments, such as in underground piping, chemical factories, building rooftops, and in coastal regions.
